Do you think it's okay for people to tell you not to do stuff, when they do it themselves? [like, if you do drugs and you tell someone else not to do drugs]

"I do drugs and they ruined my life. I'm a raving addict, my family has given up on me, as have all my friends. Don't do drugs."

That's acceptable.

"OMG< YOU ARE SO F**** ANNOYING< YOU ALWAYS COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERYTHING!!1!! STFU!!! *turns to another person* YOU KNOW WHAT I REALLY HATE??/? *complains*"

this is not okay.

You can keep your mouth closed and have people think you're an idiot, or open it and let them know you're an idiot. Or you can make them think they know you're an idiot. It's all up to preference. -Modified Amish proverb

My cousin has done everything under the sun but has cut down to alcohol, pot and cigarettes. She promised me that if I ever touched a cigarette or an illegal drug she would fly out from saskatchewan and beat me. She's got the experience and she's going to totally burn out if she's not careful, and she admits it, and she's only our age.

I accept that.

:iconllx2:
yeah. I think it usually depends.

in cases of something more serious, I think it's okay to tell someone not to do something if you've had experience with it and know why you shouldn't do it.
but like, if you like to talk trash and tell other people not to do it, that's not cool.

I thought so, that's why I gave 2 examples. Fore warning is good, hypocrisy is not.

Mhm.

It pisses me off when people talk about the risks of smoking while smoking calmly in public places.

I dunno, that's kinda understandable. but if they're doing it in public where other people are subject to the effects...
